The following interview with Gil Silverbird is from December 2009

(OMG)- Hey Gil, thanks for taking the time to speak with us for a few minutes. So,what have you got going these days?
(GS)- I am currently working on a one man show that is about the evolution of life and the concepts of Creator it's called "Pure Medicine." I am working on a new flute album and song album. I am now learning Norwegian and I plan on focusing on a TV show in Norway. I just finished a book entitled "Live within or Live without". So I'm pretty busy these days!

(OMG)- Wow! No doubt. So, you're living in Norway now. How did that come about?
(GS)- I had stopped working in the system for a ten year period because I was caught up in the age old question of, "Who am I, what am I and why am I?" Then one day i decide to buy my first computer and slowly started integrating myself back into the world. Then I got a group email that said. "Do you play the piano and use a rhythm machine?"? I answered the email and the person lived three blocks away from me in New York City, where Iwas living at the time. He asked if i wanted to work in Norway. I said, "Why not." Voila, and here I am. I love the people here. they are clean and FAIR. Fair being the key word. Not to mention Norways clean water. So I landed here.

(OMG)- Yeah "spirit" takes us on interesting paths sometimes, if we're willing....Are you currently touring?
(GS)- Yes and no. I am doing shows here and there but they are sporadic gigs that I get paid for and I am not doing original music. I also tour doing "Motivational Awareness" seminars.

(OMG)-Your album "World Peace" is seeing a renewed presence since its initial release. It's a very uplifting album with some great messages in it. Why the resurgence and what was your original vision when you wrote it?
(GS)- Well having a label put the kind of efforts behind a release like Oyate Music Recordings has with World Peace is definative in its potential success! I live life on the premise that it is not mine and this body's purpose is to portray the reality of the world peace that lives within all of us. I am life and as life I have the teachings of infinite knowledge within every eternal moment in order to expose any and all confusion for what it realistically is, obsolete and transparent within the realm of life. I am this life I am speaking of. I am not afraid to admit being life or creator or breath or perfect as nature intended these physical machines to be. I have no thought or doubts about how perfect I was made. In the same sense and reality I see everyone as perfect creations of life nature and creator. We are made as all creations are made as the conduits of GOD.

(OMG)- You received a NAMMY award in 2006 for Debut Artist of the Year. Has this helped you in your musical career and what was the experience like for you?
(GS)- I am not sure. I don't usually talk or think about it. (The NAMMY) I loved hanging with Redbone and John Trudell, Ellen Bello and the other Native people there. When the Native people's come together it is a time of soul food and celebration. We don't gather to speak about the future of the world. We celebrate and enjoy the moments that are generated by our beautiful beings. Our existence. I enjoy this extreme and balanced gathering.

(OMG)- You've signed with Oyate Music Recordings. How is that working for you?
(GS)- I am very over-joyed with someone like Tony Palmer coming to my glass and filling it up with love. This is how I see the folks at Oyate Music! They are a very positive vehicle for me, and the world, and I am happy for the experience. If this relationship were to end now Iam so much better for it and my cup has been filled a thousand times over because of it.

(OMG)- What's in the immediate future for Gil Silverbird?
(GS)- I will continue to sip on Complete Euphoria as usual. Life is here and I am life. I am here and I remember who and what I am. The purpose of life or me is to unite, as water unites everything on this planet. the blood of life is water and we are united by this blood. I love Tony Palmer and all the Oyate Music family. I am gifted with complete life which is everything and I will continue to be the vessel for creation that is life.
Music is life. Life is music. Creation.
