We can only begin to heal when we stop finding fault with those who have oppressed us. It is within the music that we share and carry the traditions of our forefathers do we begin to see deeper into our own souls. Music can health the ravaged heart. The pains we suffered. Generations of oppression still lingers in our hearts.
I seek deep into my soul to understand the pains and sufferings of our ancestors who bled and died for this land they loved so much. Respecting the earth that gives sustenance to us. We say prayers of thanks and in due time it brings forth fruit from our laborious hands.
Sweat and tears we fight back the hunger, when before us abundance filled our fields. We give thanks to the almighty beings who help care over us and bring us life.
